Why You

NewRocket is seeking a Senior Learning & Development Partner to support Delivery and Platform Excellence’s learning priorities and performance goals.   Working with company leadership, you will put your talents to work consulting with global functional leaders and the HR team to transform and accelerate business performance and drive employee engagement, growth, and retention, right in the heart of our business!

 The Role

As part of the Talent Enablement and Employee Experience team, this role will partner with senior leaders, subject matter experts, Functional Teams, and external partners to support NewRocket's key priorities in the business that include Crew performance, development, engagement, career growth, and certification strategies. The role will serve as a proactive and responsive 'single point of contact' for internal client groups, providing an end-to-end Center of Excellence experience through Talent Practices and Learning & Development expertise.


The Sr Talent Enablement Partner- will design, develop and execute the strategies of three critical areas:

  • Talent Enablement Partner to support global and regional BUs for performance, development, career and engagement planning
  • NewRocket’s global Performance Management, Development Planning, and Career Planning cycles as part of the end-to-end annual Talent Cycle plan.
  • Global Learning and Development expert for consulting across BUs and regions on learning solutions, program design, development and facilitation
Key Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  1. Deep understanding of business vision, mission, and strategy, staying abreast of emerging business priorities to ensure Talent Practices, L&D plans, and culture touch points remain aligned as enablers of success and drive a high performance, high growth culture.
  2. Plan, implement and manage NewRocket’s global Performance Management and Career Planning cycles, supporting rating calibrations, analytics and promotion and merit cycle planning. Evolve and align practices to emerging business and culture strategies. 
  3. Stay abreast of BU short-and long-term strategy, OKRs, and talent bench Build and track annual talent plans and talent success metrics that improve performance, upskill for effective resource deployments, and enable opportunities to grow from within, while supporting business goal adjustments as needed.
  4. Build out and collaborate on the execution of global and BU specific competency and skill requirements, and competency assessments as inputs to performance, development, and career
  5. Design, develop and facilitate instructor-led and on-demand programs that upskill role, management, leadership, and soft-skill capabilities. Measure effectiveness of programs, progress against client groups’ learning goals and program completions, and highlight risks/
  6. Innovate ways to achieve global reach and signature learning experiences, such as ‘expert connects’, leveraging internal experts in social learning platforms for economies of scale and expertise.
  7. Strategize, execute and measure the culture touchpoints that ensure an exceptional first 90-day experience for new Crew. Provide solutions/recommendations to correct any feedback that comes out.
  8. Coach client group leaders and employees in career and development planning, as well as upskilling managers as coaches of Crew career development planning.
  9. Lead the communication for HR talent practices, training, and engagement plans, leveraging HR and company communication channels to reach defined audience
  10. Build NewRocket University’s internal and external brand as a value-added, must-have center of excellence enabling business Stay abreast of external best practices and seek out ways to build external recognition of NewRocket University.
  11. Plan budget requirements for annual L&D needs. Continually find ways to optimize resources for economies of scale and expertise and strategize shifts in plans with any business required budget cuts.
  12. Collaborate when called upon to project management key HR-driven priorities, such as organizational restructurings, HR budget planning, and merit/promotion cycles.
  13. Contribute as a leader within both the client groups, the team, and the wider business to influence new ways of thinking and working that support evolving business priorities and transformation program outcome.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  1. Excellent consulting skills, effectively collaborating with leadership to understand root causes, and deliver optimal, innovative solutions
  2. Experienced in strategy development aligned to achieving short-and long- term business goals
  3. Proven effectiveness in Talent Management and L&D strategy, planning and program build
  4. Experienced trusted partner and coach to senior business leaders and employees, being a well- balanced advocate of employees, clients, and the business
  5. Expert level in instructor-led and on-demand learning program planning, design and build, with strong senior leadership program facilitation experience
  6. Experienced in building leadership and team capabilities, leading team building sessions as certified expert in one or more personality assessment tools
  7. Strong stakeholder management, with extensive program and project management experience creating and executing prioritized, time sensitive, and results-driven plans
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills that effectively engage, inspire, and inform
  9. Proven ability to track and leverage data insights to identify risks and recommend solutions
  10. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  11. Comfortable taking the initiative to work alongside and collaborate with/outside departments and C-Suite leaders
  12. Team player with proven abilities to collaborate and partner with colleagues at all levels
  13. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook), learning management systems, eLearning Design tools, and talent management systems
