The Development Department is a cross-sector department within the P&C Insurance IT division. Its mission is to accelerate the delivery of value by providing a consistent, reliable and harmonized development platform that covers the entire DevOps cycle. It promotes convergence of practices, simplifies the IT ecosystem, helps keep application systems stable and reduces maintenance costs. As a Senior IT Development Tools and Practices Harmonization Advisor , you play a strategic role in the governance of the Development Department. You promote the goal of harmonizing development practices and tools, ensure consistency between centres of expertise and influence Desjardins Group’s directions. This requires collaborative leadership, an ability to create meaning and engage stakeholders around a shared vision. More specifically, you will be required to:
Define and maintain the strategic roadmap in collaboration with the leaders of the centres of expertise.
Harmonize practices and tools between IT platforms, taking operational realities into account.
Represent the Development Department in discussions throughout Desjardins Group and influence decisions on development practices, application security and DevOps approaches.
Ensure alignment with solution architecture and technology standards.
Support the adoption of new practices through communication, training and change management.
Consolidate roadmaps for centres of expertise and ensure visibility of results with stakeholders.

What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience in IT practice governance and harmonization, including DevOps / DevSecOps, CI / CD tools and integration into complex environments
Significant experience in IT integration, DevOps or DevSecOps in complex environments
Knowledge of French is required
Knowledge of CI / CD tools, development practices and application security
