As a Senior Software Developer you will be supporting Lightspeed's Retail product group on the mission to expand our reach into new markets and countries while enhancing our ecommerce solution. You will join our global team of developers to use cutting edge technologies to help merchants to provide the best experience to their customers. For this role, you should be located in Montreal.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Creating and extending functionality of our products by contributing to our microservice-based platform
- Developing clean and highly maintainable code
- Mentor and guide other developers, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and improvement within your team.
- Extending our continuous integration / continuous deployment environment
- Working as part of a team to deliver product features and functionality
- Work with our Product Managers, Designer Managers and Principal developers
- Maintain high standards for code quality, design patterns, and best practices within the team.
What you’ll be bringing to the team
- Strong foundation in computer science principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Golang for backend development.
- Extensive experience in TypeScript and JavaScript, with a focus on the React framework.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving production issues, incidents, and performance bottlenecks.
- Familiarity with real-time messaging technologies, including Pub/Sub and Kafka.
- Competent in both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) database systems.
- Experienced in Agile methodologies, with a proven ability to work effectively within a collaborative, iterative development environment.
