Position: Senior Full Stack Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Software Developer to design, develop, test, and support enterprise-grade applications. The successful candidate will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including application design, data integration, API development, database management, deployment, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.

This role requires strong expertise in both front-end and back-end technologies, with a focus on scalable web applications, modern development frameworks, database technologies, and accessibility-compliant user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and enhance data pipelines involving extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities.
  
• Translate technical specifications into fully functioning, tested applications.
  
• Develop detailed programming specifications and write high-quality code.
  
• Compile and maintain data-driven applications.
  
• Perform unit testing and support application maintenance activities.
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues arising from software operation and implementation.
  
• Provide technical support during implementation, conversion, and migration activities.
  
• Collaborate with technology teams throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  
• Design, develop, test, debug, document, deploy, and support applications.
  
• Develop scalable REST API services and integrate them with front-end applications.
  
• Design and implement database solutions, including data models and database scripts.
  
• Design and implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  
• Conduct design walkthroughs with project teams.
  
• Provide post-implementation support and technical issue resolution.
  
• Create user and system documentation as required.
  

Required Qualifications

Software Development

• 10+ years of programming and development experience in Java and/or Angular.
  
• Strong experience with software development tools and frameworks.
  
• Experience in application design, development, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  
• Experience with structured methodologies for software development and maintenance.
  

Full Stack Development

• Experience with both front-end and back-end development.
  
• Experience designing and implementing overall web architecture.
  
• Experience integrating front-end user interfaces with APIs.
  
• Experience ensuring applications are developed for scalability and performance.
  
• Experience with DevOps concepts and deployment practices.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong experience developing Java applications using:
  
• Liberty
  
• Spring Framework
  
• JPA 2.1 implementations (e.g., Hibernate, EclipseLink)
  
• JAX-RS
  
• JDBC
  
• WebSocket technologies
  
• AngularJS
  
• Oracle Database experience including:
  
• Database design
  
• Data modelling
  
• Database scripting
  

Data Analysis & Design

• Experience analyzing data and identifying root causes of issues.
  
• Experience reviewing and implementing design enhancements.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  

Accessibility

• Experience developing intuitive, user-friendly interfaces.
  
• Experience building web UI components compliant with WCAG 2.0 Level AA accessibility standards.
  

Public Sector Experience

• Experience delivering successful technology solutions within Ontario Public Sector environments is highly preferred.
  

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with Internet-ready applications.
  
• Knowledge of Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies.
  
• Understanding of information management principles and practices.
  
• Experience with middleware and gateway technologies.
  
• Experience reviewing, testing, and modifying installation scripts.
  
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a project team.
  
• Track record of meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  

Work Arrangement

• Candidate is required to work onsite five (5) days per week.
