Senior Frontend Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Frontend Developer to join the Botpress team and build the future of AI Agents. With over half a million users since last year's launch, you'll be joining one of the fastest-growing startups in Canada. As a Senior Frontend Developer, you will maintain our existing product and craft new features in response to customer feedback and demand, leading projects from conception to deployment. High ownership, organization, and creativity are things we value very highly. You will be expected to solve challenging problems on your own and should be razor-focused on improving customer and user experience. An exceptional candidate is comfortable looking for solutions that are delivered quickly and adhering to robust coding standards and peer reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customer-impacting features using React (Typescript)
• Work with designers to create and maintain reusable UI components.
• Write tests for frontend components
• Add tracking and monitoring to capture user journeys
• Contribute to product documentation when applicable

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in frontend software development. Our go-to stack for the frontend is Typescript & React.js. We encourage candidates to apply even if you only have experience with a portion of our stack.
• (bonus) 2 years of professional experience in design for a software product.
• Proven experience with React.js (typescript) for frontend development.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (French is an advantage)
• A deep interest in AI Agents, voice-, and chat-based user experiences
• Well-organized, excellent work ethic, pays attention to detail, and self-starting
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup and passionate about improving technical abilities
