Salary range (but not limited to):

109,900 - 134,300

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Financial Specialist, IT Finance to join our IT Financial Planning & Analysis team. The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong financial acumen, exceptional attention to detail, and proven experience managing IT project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting. This role requires a balance of advanced numerical and analytical skills, strong business partnership and relationship-building capabilities, and a solid understanding of project and operational portfolio financial management. With excellent organizational and communication skills, you will lead the preparation of monthly reports and executive presentations that provide clear, actionable insights to IT leadership.

What you’ll do here:

  • Be a business partner by providing specific recommendations to meet our financial objectives and detailed explanations of budget variances.

  • Consolidation of the monthly IT executive management presentation.

  • Participate in IT forecasting and budgeting exercises so that the current and forecasted budget position of IT projects and portfolios are well understood and communicated.

  • Run the resource forecast process. Compare budget and forecast resource budget demand against available staffing and contract resources. Provide insight through monthly resource forecasting reporting on resource budget and resourcing needed to complete IT projects.

  • Provide key actionable insights to senior IT management: create and maintain dashboard that explain deviations (actuals vs budget vs forecast).

  • Continuous improvement of reporting such as refining metrics and visualizations.

  • Simplifying report creation by taking advantage of opportunities to automate and streamline processes.

  • Validation and control of key budget inputs and resulting reports.

  • Following up with project stakeholders to gain more insight into project financial status.

  • Be a key team member in evolving Intact’s Total Cost of Ownership strategy and evolving our tools to achieve this.

What you bring to the table:

  • CPA designation or MBA Finance is required.

  • Advanced skills in Excel (Macros / Pivots / Functions), Power Point, Word is required.

  • Minimum 5-years experience in financial management or financial reporting is required.

  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Hyperion (Essbase)

  • Familiarity with project lifecycle, waterfall and agile work processes

  • Proven ability to think outside the box.

  • Effective, clear, and concise communication and presentation skills and the ability to adapt to a wide audience.

  • Attention to detail and quality is essential.

  • Comfortable learning other various IT Tools.

  • Passionate about people. You build trust through respect and authenticity.

  • Customer-oriented focus and the ability to deal effectively with multiple demands.

  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
