What You'll Be Doing

The Daily Financial Estimates (DFE) Product Control Team is accountable for the integrity and timeliness of gross revenue for management records and reporting; namely Profit and Loss (P&L) reconciliation and decomposition to trader’s Same Day Estimates (SDE).

As a Senior Financial Analyst, Product Control, you will be reporting DFE for Bond Trading and Commodities business on daily basis to Trading desk. You will be supporting the Accounting team in reconciliation between DFE and GL on month-ends. You will embody the One Finance Vision and Guiding Principles.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Relationship Management – Possess good teamwork, partnership and relationship building skills sufficient to act in a collaborative manner given team members and stakeholders different backgrounds and experiences. You will liaise daily with Finance, Front Office and other Capital Markets stakeholder groups.

  • Collaboration – Provide supporting activities to Front Office, Risk Management and Finance, which includes decomposition of P&L by risk factors to ensure business partners, understand the underlying drivers of P&L. Review and consolidate daily commentary and analyses for stakeholders.

  • Business Focus – Be accountable for the Daily Financial Estimate for Bond Trading and Commodities Line of Business within Capital Markets. The incumbent is accountable to ensure that the control framework is operating efficiently. You will act as the main point of contact for peer and stakeholders in Capital Markets CFO Group, Front Office, Global Operations, Finance, Risk Management, etc. to ensure resolution of all related issues.

 

Who You Are

  • You can demonstrate experience 2+ years of product control experience and/or finance experience. You can also demonstrate understanding of concepts and processes for the PnL reporting of complex and/or sensitive nature; derivative products, securities, customized securities, forwards, futures and other vanilla and non-standard derivative transactions. You have strong MS Excel skills including VBA.

  • You have a diploma/degree in business, commerce, and/or related areas.  It's an asset if you're pursuing professional certifications such as CFA and/or FRM. An MBA would be considered an asset as well.
