Reporting to the Director, Finance Processes & Transformation, the Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Canada Financial Processes team in supporting the projects and initiatives that impact the Canada Finance function. You will support the delivery of segment initiatives while building positive relationships across the Canada Finance organization and other Manulife partners. You will work alongside Finance & Operations collaborators, as well as Product & Business partners to facilitate and oversee the implementation of key projects, products, and systems.
Position Responsibilities:
Contribute to the successful completion of projects & initiatives which impact Canada Finance & Operations teams
Participate in and lead the various stages of projects from a Finance standpoint, including: information gathering; impact assessment; issuing Call for Resources (CFRs) to Finance teams; leading & participating in Working Group meetings; supporting documentation of key artifacts such as accounting models, requirements, test cases; and raising issues, risks and control deficiencies in a timely and accurate manner
Manage testing plans and execution for Finance teams
Have a curious demeanour- ask questions, challenge the status quo, get in touch with stakeholders/ business partners to learn about their processes, proactively raise risks before they become issues
Maintain a strong risk-based approach by ensuring that solutions are crafted with controls and risk-mitigation at the forefront, but also recognizing that an MVP approach is needed to complete projects and deliver results
Have a strong sense of accountability and fully own all aspects of your project/ task (follow-ups, approaching deadlines, issue resolutions)
Ability to Think Big and beyond immediate asks by helping implement operational improvements and key controls within Finance processes
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years in finance or accounting, ideally with some experience on projects
University degree in accounting, actuarial science, finance, or equivalent work experience
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Innovative thinker who influences and challenges the status quo to improve processes
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively
Flexible, change‑oriented team player who can manage several priorities
Curious, motivated self‑starter committed to learning new tools, technology, and AI capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA highly preferred
Familiarity or knowledge of agile, project management processes, process improvement methodologies and tools, a key asset
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Quebec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.

Salary range is expected to be between
