Senior Finance Business Partner, AOS Finance

L'affichage de poste en français suivra / The French job posting follows

Position Overview

One of the adjacencies that Autodesk is expanding into is Operations, by extending our AI-powered clouds into the entire lifecycle of buildings, factories and infrastructure. Autodesk Operations Solutions (AOS) is the group building that business, and it will grow through both organic investment and acquisition.

We're hiring a Senior Finance Business Partner to join the AOS finance team to help build and grow this business into a significant part of Autodesk’s portfolio. You'll report to the Director of AOS Finance and work with the AOS leadership team. You'll partner with AOS leaders on planning, forecasting, and financial insights, and you'll support the financial modeling for M&A opportunities and the integration of acquired companies into Autodesk.

You'll influence senior leaders on strategic, investment, and operational decisions through financial analysis. You're comfortable with ambiguity, you adapt quickly, and you solve problems across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Business partnering. Advise the AOS leadership team on investment trade-offs, resource prioritization, and ROI. Prepare quarterly business reviews and executive and Board materials that turn the numbers into a clear message.
  • Financial analysis and modeling. Develop financial analyses and models to influence business decisions (pricing & packaging for subscription and consumption models, business cases, etc.)
  • Planning and forecasting. Run annual plan, quarterly and monthly forecasts, and long-range model for ARR, ACV, revenue, headcount, and expense.
  • M&A financial modeling. Build and own financial models for acquisition, partnership, and build-versus-buy opportunities, including scenario and sensitivity analysis. Support projections for acquisition targets, including expansion, retention, pricing, and synergies. Partner with Corporate Development, and AOS leadership on the business case and financial due diligence.
  • Post-close integration. Lead the FP&A workstream for newly acquired companies: align financial structure, ARR and other metric definitions, and reporting; bring the acquired team into Autodesk's planning and forecast cadence; and report integration progress and deal performance against the original thesis to leadership.
  • Topline reporting and analysis. Develop and report on topline financial metrics to measure financial performance. Analyze financial results, distilling/synthesizing key trends
  • Spend management. Track AOS spend and headcount against plan, explain variances, and support the business on budget management.
  • Process and tooling. Improve the models, reporting, and automation that AOS finance relies on, and make acquired-company data easier to onboard each time. Look for practical ways to use AI to speed up analysis, reporting, and forecasting

Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis, strategic finance, investment banking, or management consulting, ideally including time at a software company
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross functional leaders, including senior executives
  • Advanced financial modeling skills including experience building M&A financial models
  • Strong experience with SaaS metrics and revenue modeling (ARR, retention, bookings and billings, pricing and packaging); consumption-based model experience a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for distilling complexity into executive ready insights
  • Experience working in a global, matrixed environment
  • Solution-driven, innovative, and creative mindset
  • Proven track record of financial systems, process & tools improvement/automation
  • Curiosity about AI and an interest in using it to improve how finance works
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, accounting, economics; MBA preferred
