We are seeking a Senior Director, Product Marketing to build and lead the global PMM function. This is a critical leadership role that combines strategy, storytelling, and technical depth. You will own positioning and messaging, drive category creation, and help redefine infrastructure and operations for the AI era. Partnering with product, sales, and marketing, you’ll shape go-to-market strategy and develop content that brings our platform and its key use cases to life for enterprises and government organizations worldwide. You will establish a world-class product marketing function, set best practices, and build a high-performing team that scales with our growth.
This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.
Responsibilities :
- Define and drive category-defining positioning and messaging that strategically differentiates Forward Networks.
- Partner with product management to shape go-to-market strategy, including launches, packaging, pricing, and market expansion.
- Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business outcomes through compelling narratives, demos, and content.
- Build and lead a competitive intelligence program to provide insights that influence strategy, roadmap, and sales execution.
- Create and deliver high-impact content—solution briefs, whitepapers, presentations, demos, and sales enablement tools—that bring our platform and use cases to life across industries and government.
- Act as a thought leader and spokesperson with analysts, press, customers, and partners.
- Collaborate with demand generation, field, and corporate marketing to ensure consistent messaging and content across all channels.
- Recruit, mentor, and scale a world-class product marketing team aligned with company growth.
Qualifications :
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise software, with a strong background in product marketing leadership at growth-stage companies.
- Proven success in defining and launching category-shaping positioning and messaging.
- Strong technical aptitude and curiosity; comfortable going deep with engineers and equally effective in front of executives.
- Demonstrated ability to craft compelling stories that connect technology to customer and mission outcomes.
- Experience driving competitive intelligence and informing product/market strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven spokesperson with press/analysts and skilled presenter.
- Track record of building and scaling high-performing PMM teams.
- Familiarity with infrastructure, networking, security, or government/regulated markets preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary is expected to be between $240,000/yr to $275,000/yr. The offered compensation may also include bonus and stock.
