Senior Director, Product Management – DealCloud for Legal

Location: One of Intapp’s U.S. Offices is ideal: Charlotte, NC, NYC or Palo Alto, CA; Remote is possible.

Law firms using DealCloud have unique user persona, intelligence, and workflow needs to support its rainmakers in growing their practices and firms. 

In this role, you will guide the vision, roadmap, and delivery of our DealCloud Activator and DealCloud for Legal vertical applications.  You will lead a team working with stakeholders internally and across our legal client base to enhance DealCloud’s suite for the specific needs of these lawyers and their law firms.  You will be meeting with stakeholders regularly to assess and prioritize challenges, then owning the full product development lifecycle solutions you drive into the product. You will also serve as a subject matter expert internally, helping to evangelize best practices. Given the prominence of the role's area of focus, it comes with significant opportunities to engage with Intapp leadership and client executives. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Drive strategy for designing and implementing enhancements to DealCloud Activator including our signals and recommendations for AI engines
  • Conduct requirements for discovery sessions with clients and prospects to understand opportunities to support new, deeper types of analysis and engagement. 
  • Own roadmap for dedicated site areas and communicate plans proactively to management. 
  • Work directly with the engineering team to manage product backlog, lead story times, develop features, and deliver them in quarterly releases. 
  • Incorporate innovative technologies, such as AI and Machine Learning, into the solution to differentiate it within the market and increase overall value. 
  • Collaborate with sales, product marketing, and go-to-market teams to drive field and customer engagement plans, including early adopter programs. 
  • Communicate, influence, and work with executives to explain strategy and make sure that product area solutions meet the needs of the business. 
  • Make build vs. buy vs. integrate decisions with a focus on outcomes for clients and other stakeholders. 

What you’ll need: 

  • 10-15 years of experience working on or with BtoB cloud-based SaaS enterprise solutions used by law firms and lawyers. 
  • Significant Product Management experience, building and executing on product roadmaps culminating in commercially successful products.
  • Experience with managing and/or developing software products for business development or CRM-like products.
  • Experience managing and/or developing products directly relevant to Legal, Accounting, Consulting, Financial Services and Real Asset industries.
  • Experience developing and shipping AI products.

Ideal if you have:

  • You have proven the ability to collaborate, build consensus, and influence others across a broad range of backgrounds, organizational levels, and personalities. 
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and are comfortable speaking in front of an audience.
  • You have technical aptitude to be able to effectively work with engineering at the API and SDK level. 
  • You have an innate ability to articulate technical features in terms of business risk and value through comprehensive story writing and impactful presentations. 
  • You possess strong analytical skills paired with a data-driven mindset and background. 
  • You are comfortable with some travel.  
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field; MBA is a plus.
