As a Senior Marketing Data Scientist on our data team, you will drive high-impact solutions and strategic insights across our marketing programs, collaborating closely with stakeholders, marketing leaders, product managers, and data engineers. You’ll solve complex marketing data problems, employ advanced analytics techniques, and enhance Prodigy’s data science best practices. You’ll be a key player in elevating the effectiveness of our marketing initiatives and shaping how we engage educators, parents, and learners globally.

Your Impact

  • Lead high-impact marketing analytics projects aligned with Prodigy’s organizational objectives and OKRs, significantly influencing program-level decisions.

  • Work proactively with senior marketing leaders to identify and scope complex analytics projects, breaking them into clearly defined tasks, delegating work effectively, and collaborating closely with other data scientists and analysts.

  • Design, execute, and evaluate advanced statistical experiments and predictive models to optimize marketing strategies, attribution modeling, and customer acquisition funnels.

  • Champion high-quality data assets, analytical frameworks, and best practices within the marketing analytics space, ensuring scalability and maintainability.

  • Mentor and support the continuous learning of other data analysts and scientists, sharing expertise through feedback, guidelines, pair programming, and resource sharing to help elevate the team's analytical capabilities.

  • Advocate for substantial improvements in analytics processes and workflows, driving innovation in marketing analytics technologies and methodologies at Prodigy.

  • Clearly communicate complex data science insights and recommendations to diverse stakeholders, including executive leadership, ensuring strategic alignment and informed decision-making.

  • Support the responsible use of data analytics tools by contributing to usage guidelines, privacy standards, and training materials, helping your team effectively leverage resources.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in data science and marketing analytics, with a proven track record of influencing strategic decisions through advanced analytics, forecasting, experimentation, and modeling.

  • Deep understanding and experience in cross-channel measurement and attribution methodologies (MMM, MTA), digital experimentation (lift, geo-testing), and predictive modeling.

  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python (or R) for data manipulation, statistical analysis, machine learning, and automation of analytical workflows.

  • Expertise in working with event tracking platforms (e.g., Facebook, Google Analytics, YouTube) and digital tracking technologies across web and app environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale analytics projects, manage multiple stakeholder expectations, and effectively mentor junior team members.

  • Exceptional communication skills, able to translate complex analytical concepts into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Passionate about building and promoting a culture of data-driven decision-making, with a proactive approach to process improvement and knowledge sharing.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or GCP) for data storage, analytics, and modeling.

  • Advanced experience with distributed computing frameworks such as Spark.

  • Experience contributing to and improving data science best practices and standards within an organization.

  • Diverse professional background or unconventional career paths highly valued.
