The Artificial Intelligence Centre of Excellence is responsible for developing analytical solutions to support the business lines’ needs at Desjardins. As Senior Generative AI Data Scientist, you help meet the need for data to support business decision-making, operationalizing artificial intelligence (MLOps) and generative AI (LLMOps) solutions adapted to business issues and help understand member and client behaviour. More specifically, you will be required to:
Provide technical expertise (training, support and mentoring) on generative AI concepts applied to cloud computing environments
Optimize generative AI models for performance, scaling and efficiency using cloud-based resources
Create evaluation and monitoring frameworks to determine model accuracy
Work with a multidisciplinary team (data science, data engineering, software engineering) to develop generative AI-driven solutions that meet business requirements
Stay up to date on the latest developments in generative AI, and recommend innovative solutions to improve existing systems
Help create and update comprehensive documentation for generative AI models and technical processes
Identify and resolve technical issues related to AI integration and model performance
Provide training and support to internal teams on the use and implementation of generative AI technologies

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, AI or in a related field
A minimum of six years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience in training and support internal teams on AI technologies
Experience in implementing artificial intelligence and generative AI solutions
Knowledge of French is required
Expertise in life cycle management for generative AI solutions
Proficiency in generative AI technologies, including Azure OpenAI, and ability to integrate these solutions into business systems
Proficiency in Python and data processing libraries, NLP and ML
Proficiency in Git and MLOps best practices (ML pipelines, CI/CD, monitoring)
