Building on our robust Data Lake architecture, we are moving towards a transformative Data Mesh architecture—treating data as a product with well-defined contracts, distributed ownership, and domain-oriented design.
As we evolve our data ecosystem, we are deeply focused on data democratization, governance, observability, and secure, scalable ingestion. Our goal: every piece of data perfectly accessible, monitored, governed, and efficiently ingested from its source into our platform.
Our data tribe is well-prepared to lead this transition, driving the design and expansion of next-generation Data Products and ingestion frameworks. By joining our team, you’ll be at the forefront of Kaizen’s data-driven innovation.
Our Tech Stack: Spark, Python/Scala, Databricks, Delta Lake, Apache Airflow, Airbyte, GitLab, Grafana, Kafka, and cloud-native services (Azure/AWS).
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will:
- Design and optimize scalable data pipelines (batch and streaming) integrating diverse sources across cloud platforms.
- Embed observability and governance using modern frameworks and metadata management tools.
- Implement security controls, including encryption, masking, and role-based access.
- Deploy and manage solutions using CI/CD best practices within a “you build it, you run it” culture.
- Collaborate with domain teams and stakeholders to align on data contracts and platform standards.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to enhance our platform’s scalability and efficiency.
What you'll bring
- Strong software engineering expertise, with experience in production-grade data platforms.
- Proficiency in Spark, orchestration frameworks (e.g., Dagster), and cloud environments (Azure).
- Understanding of security best practices for enterprise data environments.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work across domains in a distributed ownership model.
- Curiosity and passion for innovating with modern data architecture and tooling.
