We are currently partnering with a leading Canadian financial institution who is looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer with Platform Experience to support the evolution of its Core Data Platform. This role requires deep platform engineering expertise and experience building enterprise-scale data platforms in regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of data platform initiatives with full ownership of quality and documentation
  • Partner directly with stakeholders to define requirements and proactively communicate scope or technical impacts
  • Operate autonomously, escalating blockers with recommended solutions
  • Drive technical decisions and mentor peers on platform design and engineering best practices
  • Represent the engineering team confidently in cross-functional and stakeholder discussions

Requirements
  • 7+ years of Data Engineering experience
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with:
    • Enterprise Data Warehouse platforms and/or Data Mesh architectures
  • Strong experience with:
    • Snowflake
    • Snowflake UniStore
    • dbt Core and/or dbt Cloud
    • Dagster or Airflow
    • Python
    • Advanced SQL
    • AWS and/or Azure
    • GitHub Actions

Location: Canada (Canadian residents only)
