Retell AI is using the first principles to reimagine the call center with cutting edge voice AI.
Since launching 18 months ago, thousands of companies now utilize Retell’s AI voice agents to handle sales, support, and logistics calls that once required large teams of human agents. Backed by Y Combinator, Alt Capital, and other leading investors, we have scaled to $36M ARR with a team of 20 people, up from $5M at the start of 2025.
Our vision for 2026 is to build a modern CX platform where entire contact centers are powered by AI. Instead of basic automation that needs constant human tuning, we’re creating intelligent AI “workers” that can act as frontline agents, QA analysts, and managers — continuously executing, monitoring, and improving customer interactions.
We’re growing quickly and looking for ambitious builders who want to tackle hard technical problems, move fast, and have real impact at one of the fastest-growing voice AI startups.
Let’s build the future together.

As our Senior Copywriter, you’ll own the voice and storytelling that shape how the world discovers, understands, and connects with Retell AI. This is a high-ownership, hands-on role centered on crafting clear, compelling narratives and shipping polished copy at speed.
You’ll work closely with founders, product, and engineering to translate complex product updates, customer insights, and strategic initiatives into high-impact content. From launch announcements and landing pages to blog posts and social storytelling, you’ll be responsible for taking ideas from raw input to live, world-class copy — then moving on to the next thing.
This role is built for a senior writer who loves the craft and thrives in fast-moving environments. You’re not here to manage a large team or maintain a slow, long-term content calendar — you want to write, refine, ship, and see your words drive real business outcomes in a growing startup.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESWrite and publish high-quality, SEO-driven pieces per week that improve search visibility and drive sustained organic growth — without sacrificing clarity, voice, or substance.
Craft feature announcements and product updates by turning raw, technical inputs into clear, compelling stories that explain what changed, why it matters, and who it’s for.
Own landing page and website copy end-to-end, refining messaging to improve clarity, positioning, and conversion across the funnel.
Write sharp, on-brand social and LinkedIn content that highlights product launches, customer wins, and thought leadership — with an understanding of tone, timing, and audience.
Partner closely with product and engineering to deeply understand what we’re building, then translate complex ideas into simple, persuasive narratives.
Lead PR and media efforts, including developing story angles, pitching to press, and supporting interviews and announcements.
Own customer storytelling from start to finish — interviewing customers, extracting insights, and turning them into strong case studies and narratives that showcase real value.
You bring 5+ years of experience writing content for SaaS, AI, or developer-facing products — and you’re comfortable translating technical ideas into clear, compelling stories.
You write fast and well. Your first drafts are strong, structured, and ready for polish — not a full rewrite.
You’ve shipped a lot of content. Think dozens (or hundreds) of published pieces, not a small handful.
You have a strong bias toward shipping. If you haven’t published something by midday, you’re already looking for the next thing to push live.
You can quickly get up to speed on complex topics like AI, telephony, and APIs — and explain them in a way that actually makes sense to the reader.
Bonus: You have hands-on technical experience or a background writing for developer audiences and technical buyers.
When applying, please include a portfolio of your work.
We’re especially interested in seeing a before-and-after example: raw input (notes, specs, a rough brief, or a messy draft) that you turned into clear, compelling, high-quality copy. This could be a product launch, feature announcement, landing page, or long-form piece.
Along with the final version, tell us:
What the original input looked like
How you shaped the narrative
Why the copy mattered — what problem it solved and why the audience should care
If you’re the kind of copywriter we’re looking for, you likely already have an example like this. If so, you’ll probably feel right at home here.
