About the role

We are looking for a strategic, motivated, and curious Sr. Copywriter to join our Creative team. You will be responsible for executing and helping evolve our verbal identity across all brand touchpoints, collaborating across teams to ensure cohesive and impactful messaging that resonates with audiences. 

This role will report directly to our Creative Director. As the sole full-time copywriter, you’ll execute the Hungryroot brand voice on all channels and evolve it over time. You’ll craft copy that achieves both brand and performance goals across marketing, packaging, product, and more. We’re looking for a culinary-obsessed copywriter who is equally comfortable drafting punchy headlines or matching FDA formatting regulations, collaborating with other teams or working solo, and receiving project briefs or initiating them yourself. Responsibilities

  • Guide and implement the Hungryroot brand voice across all channels, setting the bar for engaging, relatable copy that delivers on larger strategies and goals
  • Push the brand voice forward, trying new approaches and bringing new ideas or executions to the table
  • Partner with Creative, Marketing, Sourcing, Culinary, Sales, and Product teams to bring stories to life that reflect our brand values
  • Craft copy across emails, notifications, packaging, product and recipe descriptions, organic social, direct mail, and digital product
  • Provide guidance for paid social, paid media (podcasts, influencers, TV), CX responses and FAQs, and manage the recipe guidelines
  • Edit vendor copy for packaging to meet FDA and USDA guidelines
  • Maintain our copy guidelines — we view our brand as a living thing more than a set of static rules
  • Proactively find and make improvements to existing copy templates and recurring projects
  • Continually integrate AI processes into your workflow — brainstorming, simplifying formatting tasks, etc — so you can spend your time on the most impactful work

Expected Pay Range:
$100,000 - $120,000
