About the Position:
Cologix is seeking a Senior Content Manager and Strategist who will leverage their industry and functional experience to assist in building out the Cologix content journey.  They must thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment as well as be willing to make recommendations, leveraging their expertise to suggest, strategize and write impactful content.  This person will be critical to telling the Cologix story and creating the content to fuel our growth.  They will develop and curate compelling and engaging content for our target audiences.  This position will report to the Senior Director of Messaging, PR and Strategic Campaigns and will work closely and collaboratively with the full Marketing team as well as withProduct and Sales.

What you do and how you’ll make an impact:

  • Operate as a key member of a collaborative Marketing team to write effective content for our awareness activities and to fuel our demand gen engine
  • Collaborate with co-workers and brainstorm fresh, creative content ideas to improve audience engagement
  • As a strong Marketing contributor, advocate for the right content for the right audience at the right time
  • Put your creativity to work developing compelling messaging, translating positioning into tangible benefits for the targeted audience
  • Research, write, edit and proofread content for omni-channel marketing with focus on channels such as website, social, blog and email
  • Leverage your industry and product knowledge to develop content such as eBooks, white papers and case studies.  Provide input into video scripts
  • Conduct competitive content audits and contribute to defensible positioning and proof-point messaging that clearly showcase Cologix’s differentiated value across priority segments
  • Assist in reviewing and editing written materials produced by other team members
  • Provide expertise and support for content needs for events
  • Improve existing content to align with changes in messaging and products and services
  • Leverage secondary research as a part of creating compelling copy
  • Facilitate interviews to develop ideas and collect information to feed into content development such as case studies 
  • Demonstrate excellence in fact checking and consistency of facts and figures
  • Ensure that product, marketing and brand materials support the Cologix brand by following the company’s copy style and tone guide
  • Work with graphic design resources to ensure the final asset fits its purpose and is a professional looking and reading asset
  • Analyze results from specific assets and content types.  Optimize content strategy based upon results to increase reader engagement and retention.

What makes you a good fit: (Qualifications)

  • Ten plus years of experience in developing and editing high-quality content, both short form and long form, for digital and print
  • Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills - ability to work through standardized review and approval processes with a variety of people to be successful. Willing to take direction from colleagues and to operate as a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Communications or a related field is preferred
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading and editorial skills — with the ability to distill technical concepts into business-relevant messaging
  • Keep up-to-date with content trends and advances in technology.  Utilize technologies such as AI to assist you in doing your job better
  • Expertise in data center, digital infrastructure or B2B high tech industries
  • History of excellence in research and writing product, awareness and demand gen content that aligns to a company’s brand, value propositions and targeted audiences
  • Knowledge of SEO, SMO and industry best practices. 
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and approach
  • Able to prioritize requests and manage multiple projects simultaneously and according to deadlines
  • Disciplined in following through with set priorities 
  • Ability to think logically as well as creatively
  • Excellent communicator and organizational skills
  • Must be able to write following US English guidelines and standards
  • Ability to write in French and English is a plus
