Job Description:
Reporting to the Director, Outreach and Communications, Office of the President of Sun Life in Quebec, the Senior Consultant plays an important role in the development and deployment of the organization’s francization strategy. As such, they set guidelines and plan and manage francization initiatives. The Senior Consultant works closely with the Office of the President, the Francization Committee and various internal stakeholders. Their project management skills, extensive autonomy and high-level advisory role make them an indispensable expert in the development and maintenance of francization best practices.
What will you do:
Help develop the annual francization strategy

In collaboration with the Director and the Francization Committee, define francization-related objectives, priorities and actions to be deployed in line with the company’s strategic objectives

Develop a thorough understanding of the company and its key issues, as well as industry trends, so that these can be considered in developing the annual strategy

Provide high-level advice to the President and CEO of Sun Life in Quebec, the Francization Committee and key stakeholders on francization best practices

Track budgets required to implement the strategy
Implement the annual francization plan

Diligently deploy the annual strategy and identified actions

Monitor and collaborate on work related to Law 14
-
Manage the Francization Committee and its subcommittees as required

Act as the contact point for the Office québécois de la langue française for all francization issues and the preparation of various reports

Manage the Francization mailbox and ensure rigorous follow-up of requests, comments and suggestions received, in collaboration with internal partners

Develop appropriate project tracking tools and regularly monitor performance indicators and review them annually

Monitor market practices for continuous improvement

Collaborate on various projects related to communications and marketing with the Office of the President's team.

Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders and manage multiple projects

Ability to exercise influential leadership with strong consultation and facilitation skills

Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) required due to frequent interactions with internal English- and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office

Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or a relevant discipline

Minimum of 5 to 8 years of relevant experience

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
