Job Description

  • Develop and implement a BI strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of BI developers, analysts, and data engineers.
  • Promote AI adoption and develop a data culture among users.
  • Manage resources, timelines, and priorities.
  • Oversee the creation of dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
  • Develop advanced analytics (predictive, prescriptive, AI, ML).
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security.
  • Implement and enforce data governance policies.
  • Oversee the design and deployment of data warehouses and data lakes.
  • Manage the integration of BI systems into IT infrastructure.
  • Stay abreast of BI/AI industry trends.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements. Translate stakeholder needs into BI solutions
  • Provide insights to senior management in a clear and actionable manner.
  • Define and prioritize data initiatives to maximize value and effectiveness.
  • Recommend improvements to optimize the impact of BI solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, administration, or a related field (master's degree an asset)
  • 7+ years of experience in BI or analytics, including 3+ in management.
  • Hands-on experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in BI tools and Microsoft Azure services (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse).
  • Skills in Python, DAX, Power Query, or R.
  • Strong experience in SQL, modeling, and data warehousing.
  • Knowledge of ETL processes and large datasets.
  • Good understanding of data governance, security, and quality assurance.
  • Communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based BI solutions (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Knowledge of advanced AI/ML tools (Asset)
  • Experience in manufacturing (Asset).
  • Project management experience (Agile, Scrum)
