About the role
Join our dynamic and newly founded Analytics team as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the foundation of analytics at Fortis.
Partner with the broader Data team to deliver high-quality analytics products that unlock insights, fuel better decision-making, and drive the success of our games and cross-functional teams—including Marketing, QA, Community, and Player Support. You’ll play a key role in developing our analytics infrastructure—including Looker dashboards, data schemas, and self-serve tools—while also empowering teams through hands-on training and support. Beyond building tools, you’ll dig into rich data sources to surface insights, identify trends, and unlock new opportunities.
What you’ll achieve
- Design data models that feed our analytics products
- Design and build clear, effective, and user-friendly Looker Explores and Dashboards
- Train and empower technical and non-technical users to confidently use analytics products with clarity and autonomy.
- Ensure Data quality across all of our systems (Schema, Explores, and Dashboards)
- Analyze large, complex data sets
- Work with the Engineering team to build pull data from external sources
- Work with all organizations from engineering to marketing, to understand and improve the performance of teams’ initiatives
What you’ll need to be successful
- 4+ years of analytics experience in social tech, games, mobile, or consumer web applications
- Strong SQL skills and comfort querying large and complex datasets
- Strong Python skills
- Strong Experience with Looker is a requirement
- Strong Experience in data preparation, modeling and transformation skills
- Able to understand API capabilities and effectively communicate technical requirements to Engineering for data integration
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Experience mentoring more junior analysts
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
- Passionate about Analytics, BI, and staying up to date
