Senior Back End Software Engineer

• Design, develop, and enhance backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and maintain REST APIs and distributed backend components
• Work with relational and document databases (Postgres, MS SQL, MongoDB)
• Collaborate directly with business users and traders to refine requirements and shape solutions
• Lead and mentor junior developers, contributing to overall engineering quality
• Work within a product-focused, fast-paced environment with high ownership expectations
• Contribute to platform development in the Precious Metals & FICC Operations domain

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Java + Spring Boot
• Strong experience building APIs and backend services
• Hands-on experience with databases such as Postgres, MS SQL, and MongoDB
• Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting directly with business stakeholders
• Ability to work without Business Analysts (direct-to-business model)
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and mentoring skills
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, product-first engineering culture

• Experience with NodeJS + TypeScript
• Exposure to React or general full-stack awareness
• Background in Capital Markets, FICC, or Commodities engineering environments
