ABOUT THE ROLE

The Setup Operations team, with members located in Canada, the United States, Poland, and India, performs critical functions on Innocap’s Dedicated Managed Account Platforms (“DMAPs”). The team's primary responsibilities include performing complex data mapping between various counterparty reports using in-house coding syntax to support a wide range of internal reporting needs. We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join the team and support platform growth. This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with hedge fund asset managers, clearing and OTC counterparties, and fund administrators across the industry.

The Senior Associate’s primary responsibilities include:

  • Establish and maintain accurate reporting frameworks to perform comprehensive data mapping from counterparty reports into internal systems.

  • Automate trade reconciliation by aligning security identifiers across reports using proprietary coding syntax.

  • Interpret broker and administrator reporting to design reusable templates that streamline fund setup and ensure accurate data is routed to correct teams.

  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of trade, margin, and cash data, proactively resolving mismatches and setup gaps to ensure accuracy across cleared and OTC instruments.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to manage end-to-end platform launches and liquidations, ensuring accurate data integration, operational readiness, and secure SFTP setups with brokers and internal teams.

  • Partner with internal development teams to build new functionalities, automate workflows, and reduce manual intervention through setup efficiency and process enhancements.

  • Operate within a shared mailbox model to manage tasks and respond to queries, while fostering a culture of continuous learning through knowledge sharing and team guidance.

PRIMARY QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Experience with data mapping, position reconciliations, margin processing, and collateral management, supported by familiarity with Excel macros, SQL, VBA, and data warehousing or reporting tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex data issues and developing scalable solutions.

  • Intermediate to advanced understanding of financial markets, instruments, and operational processes, including working knowledge of equities, fixed income, FX, listed and OTC derivatives.

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in Operations, Middle Office, Treasury, or data-focused roles, with demonstrated ability to manage large-scale data operations with precision and accuracy.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both internal teams and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to work independently and operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
