What you’ll accomplish with us
As a Senior Advisor in Financial Planning and Performance, you will be at the core of our mission. Your main responsibilities will include:
Leading the production, evolution, and dissemination of financial performance dashboards for senior management and business partners, while ensuring the quality, consistency, and credibility of financial information.
Analyzing and explaining variances between actual results, budget, and forecasts, highlighting trends, key drivers, risks, opportunities, and key messages.
Coordinating, maintaining, and documenting realistic, up-to-date, and well-explained overhead expense forecasts, in collaboration with business partners.
Challenging forecasting assumptions and contributing to the continuous improvement and structuring of financial forecasting practices.
Acting as a business partner to various sectors by supporting them in understanding their financial performance and in decision-making.
Translating complex financial information into clear insights and supporting management discussions, trade-offs, and financial recommendations.
Actively participating in monthly and quarterly reviews with the Finance leadership team.
Working closely with an analyst, providing guidance on data preparation and analysis, and serving as a reference for performance monitoring within the FP&A team.
Contributing to the evolution of FP&A practices by participating in structuring initiatives aimed at improving processes, tools, performance monitoring, and the value added by the function.
What could accelerate your success in this role
We’re looking for someone who:
Is recognized for their strong mastery of financial planning and performance (FP&A) principles, including financial performance reporting and overhead expense forecasting.
Stands out for their deep understanding of overhead cost structures, variance analysis, and the financial impact of management decisions.
Demonstrates strong influence, communication, and the ability to clearly communicate financial information to business partners and managers.
Is known for their professional judgment, critical thinking, and functional leadership, fostering collaboration and alignment of practices.
Has 7 to 8 years of experience in financial planning and performance, with proven ease in using corporate financial systems, planning tools, and reporting processes, along with solid knowledge of financial cycles.
Has an advanced level of English and French, as the role involves preparing and presenting financial analyses, participating in performance reviews, and supporting overhead planning and forecasting with financial stakeholders and business partners, including U.S. entities and Western Canada, on a regular basis.
