POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Strategy team is excited to announce we are looking to welcome a new Senior Advisor/Strategy Lead to our dynamic team!
As a Senior Advisor/Strategy Lead, you’ll collaborate directly with the Director of Business Strategy and the AVP of Business Strategy & Client Success to drive high-impact projects and workstreams that shape the direction of our business. You will have the chance to make a difference in our operations by tackling some of our business’ most pressing and complex issues and your role will encompass all aspects of developing and implementing business strategies across our lines of business, aligning with the objectives of the COO group and BDC’s corporate strategy.
This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical capabilities, structured and critical thinking, and a proven ability to lead strategic initiatives independently.
This role will also provide you with a wealth of development and learning opportunities, allowing you to expand your skill set and grow both personally and professionally.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Contribute and lead various corporate-wide projects involving cross-functional teams. Develop trusting relationships with various stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges.
Take full ownership of strategic workstreams and projects, from framing the problem to delivering outcomes
Act as a thought partner to senior leaders, contributing to long-term strategic planning and business transformation efforts.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather insights, align on priorities, and drive execution with discipline and autonomy, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with business priorities.
Be a key player in the implementation of strategic initiatives stemming from the COO strategy; contribute to the identification of the approach to be adopted (methodology, scope, work plan).
Contribute or conduct research and data analysis; deepen understanding of the organization and its business lines, the market in which we operate and the needs of specific sectors, business segments and regions.
Act as a thought partner to senior leaders, contributing to long-term strategic planning and business transformation efforts.
Contribute to the content development of COO meetings, off-sites, SMC and Board meetings as it relates to our business lines.
Be involved in the preparation and facilitation of workshops.
Support the Director, Business Strategy when required but also work closely with a variety of senior leaders such as the COO SVPs, the Corporate Strategy group; etc.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree in business/finance; a graduate degree would be an asset
Five to eight years’ relevant experience. Previous experience in a consulting firm and/or working with SMEs is a plus
Team player that adds a touch of fun and camaraderie to the workplace
Excellent interpersonal skills, combined with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
High level of comfort with ambiguity, strategic mindset with strong analytical skills and passion for problem-solving
Growth mindset and coachability: we are convinced everything can be learned with the right attitude and openness to feedback
A keen interest in understanding economic and business trends and issues that affect SMEs
Ability to work under pressure to meet tight and often conflicting deadlines
Ability to create high-quality presentations and strategic documents for senior leadership, with strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
Excellent oral and written communication skills in both french and english
