Temporary position for 12 months
As a Section Manager, your role is to make sound, strategic decisions in collaboration with peers to optimize work processes within the competency development team, which includes Designers, Trainers, and Technicians. You are accountable for overseeing your team’s service offering of design and facilitation in implementing a competency development strategy that meets the evolving needs of the Claims Division, including Auto, Property, and Commercial claims handling. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills, effective communication, and the ability to balance diverse stakeholder interests. More specifically, you will be required to :
Support the work organization and operational planning for the Team
Develop, implement and track the teams action plan, ensuring alignment with the organization’s strategic orientations and other administrative units, in a performance management context
Establish management and communication practices that support change management, talent attraction and retention, skills development, employee engagement, and diversity in keeping with Desjardins values
Define and ensure the implementation of activities related to the unit’s services to maximize targeted business results and ensure member and client satisfaction
Support the administrative unit’s action plan by successfully managing individual and team performance
Promote Desjardins Group’s cooperative values
Continuously improve the management of processes under your responsibility

What you bring to the table
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Knowledge in Auto, Property and Commercial Insurance Lines of Business
