Job Description

What you will be doing:

As a Manager of the Solutions Engineering team within Sales, you will be leading our Solution Engineering (pre-sales) team for Insurance and Risk across North and South America. You will be a proven people leader, responsible for coaching a team of subject matter experts who demonstrate the value our solutions provide directly to our customers through solution demonstrations and presentations, proofs of concept, and detailed workshops. Primary responsibilities include:

  • Organizing and managing a team of qualified business and technical professionals, setting goals and training plans, managing assigned activities and deadlines, and taking responsibility for the quality of the team’s work

  • Coaching your team in putting together best in class software presentations and demonstrations leveraging our FIS Pre-Sales methodology

  • Ensuring that the team delivers sales presentations and thought leadership at annual industry and client events

  • Ensuring that the team can identify and qualify clients’ business and functional requirements in order to obtain initial project estimates, identify and document solution gaps after gathering clients’ requirements, and communicate client requirements, trends and issues back to product management

  • Ensuring that the team responds to relevant RFI’s / RFP’s / client queries in a timely and professional manner

  • Managing efficient opportunity assignment and sales pipelines among your team

  • Acting as key sales liaison with the product management, professional services, support and development organizations

  • Joining with other pre-sales groups for comprehensive solution demonstrations that span multiple software products

  • Ensuring your team has the requisite resources required to succeed i.e. demo environments, marketing support, etc.

What you bring:

  • A passion for pre-sales management

  • 10+ years of experience in software sales/presales with 4+ years management experience

  • Good grasp of technology and technical concepts, with an interest in new technology and how it can help improve investment management lifecycle

  • Analytical and consultative approach to client engagements

  • Equally comfortable working independently or as part of a team

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task, with attention to detail

  • A willingness to travel to customer sites to build relationships

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Curiosity and a desire to continuously learn

Advantage if you have:

  • Deep domain knowledge on Enterprise Risk and/or Insurance

  • Individual contributor presales/sales engineering experience

  • Hands-on experience with FIS Capital Markets (or competitor) solutions.

  • Spanish and/or Brazilian language skills

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $114,880.00 - $189,560.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined by additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
