Job Description

The Non-Ferrous Sales Representative is responsible for the sourcing, buying, and selling of non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, copper, brass, and stainless steel. This role requires a deep understanding of global metals markets, strong supplier and customer relationship management skills, and the ability to make timely, strategic trading decisions to maximize profitability and drive business growth.

  • Developing and managing a portfolio of suppliers and buyers for non-ferrous scrap and refined metals.
  • Sourcing non-ferrous materials domestically and/or internationally and negotiate terms of sale or purchase.
  • Evaluating market trends and pricing indicators to develop trading strategies and optimize margins.
  • Executing trades with full ownership of pricing, logistics coordination, risk management, and compliance.
  • Building long-term relationships with scrap yards, smelters, brokers, and industrial end-users.
  • Collaborating with logistics, operations, finance, and compliance teams to ensure seamless execution of deals.
  • Maintaining accurate records of trading activity and client interactions in CRM and ERP systems.
  • Preparing and deliver internal reports on trade performance, margins, and market forecasts.

Qualifications

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, International Trade, or a related field (preferred).
  • You have experience in non-ferrous or commodities trading; experience with international trade and logistics is a plus.
  • You have the ability to manage P&L, assess risk, and make high stakes trading decisions.
  • You have an understanding of commodity markets, pricing models, and supply chain logistics.
  • You have excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • You are proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP/CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, SAP, or equivalent).
  • You have the ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
