Lead and scale Luma's West Coast sales presence by owning full enterprise sales cycles, hiring and coaching a team of 5+ AEs, building pipeline with brands and agencies, translating creative AI value to marketing teams, and partnering with product/marketing/customer success to refine go-to-market playbooks.
Where You Come In
This is a rare, foundational opportunity to lead Luma's West Coast presence and shape how we sell our frontier creative AI technology to the world's leading brands and agencies. As our West Coast Sales Manager, you will influence our ever-changing sales playbook in real-time, navigating a high-velocity, ambiguous environment where impact is the only metric that matters. You will act as a strategic force multiplier, leveraging your deep industry network to place Luma's technology at the heart of the global creative ecosystem.
What You'll Do
This is not a maintenance role; it is a 0-to-1 opportunity to scale a market.
You will:
- Own the full sales cycle for strategic accounts—from prospecting and running demos to closing high-impact deals—with leading brands and advertising agencies across the West Coast.
- Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of 5+ Account Executives, providing day-to-day coaching, removing roadblocks, and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Pioneer and manage a robust pipeline of advertiser and agency accounts, turning ambiguity into closed enterprise partnerships.
- Translate Luma's advanced creative AI tools into clear, actionable value and ROI for marketing, brand, and creative teams.
- Partner closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to refine our go-to-market motion and feed market insights back into product development.
- Influence and scale the West Coast sales engine, refining the foundational playbooks that will grow our regional footprint.
Who You Are
- 8+ years of sales experience, with a proven track record of hitting and exceeding quota, ideally selling creative/marketing tools, MarTech, or media.
- 3+ years of recent sales management experience, with a track record of hiring, onboarding, and leading sales professionals.
- Deeply networked within the West Coast advertising, brand, and agency ecosystem, with an active Rolodex of decision-makers.
- A proven "builder" with a player-coach mindset—excited to roll up your sleeves and close deals today, with the strategic capability to manage and scale a team.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and operating in an early-stage, high-growth environment where you must influence an ever-changing playbook rather than follow one.
- Based in the Los Angeles Metro Area or the San Francisco Bay Area (or willing to relocate).
What Sets You Apart (Bonus Points)
- Experience working at a high-growth generative AI, media, AdTech, or frontier creative technology startup (e.g., Runway, Pika, Jasper).
- A deep personal passion for the creative potential of AI and a strong understanding of multimodal technology.
- Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles with creative directors and agency holdcos.
The base pay range for this role is $137,500 – $175,000 per year.
