About the role.
As McCain continues its global digital transformation journey, the S/4 Functional Project Manager will play a critical role in leading and delivering key initiatives within the SAP S/4HANA Business Transformation program. This role is responsible for driving end-to-end project execution across multiple functional domains, ensuring alignment between business, technology, and transformation goals. You will collaborate with global stakeholders to enable seamless delivery, foster innovation, and ensure high-quality outcomes that support McCain's digital future. This is a 6-month contract position that has the flexibility to be based out of Toronto, Ontario or Florenceville, New Brunswick.
What you'll be doing.
  • Partner with business, process, functional, and digital technology stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and facilitate workshops
  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to analyze, document, and align on key decisions using McCain frameworks and tools
  • Plan, execute, and govern S/4HANA configuration activities to support business transformation requirements
  • Support organizational change management (OCM) initiatives related to the transition from SAP ECC to S/4HANA
  • Develop and maintain project plans, progress reports, and status dashboards to ensure transparency and alignment
  • Establish scalable best practices and repeatable processes across all phases of the transformation (plan, design, build, test, deploy)
  • Utilize project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) to manage timelines, resources, dependencies, and risks
  • Align OCM plans with program timelines and address interdependencies across workstreams
  • Support program leadership by managing stakeholder relationships and driving timely escalation and resolution of risks and issues
  • Lead daily project activities, including team coordination, status meetings, and working sessions
  • Ensure third-party partners meet contractual obligations and deliverables
  • Manage financials and resource allocation for assigned workstreams using McCain tools and frameworks

What you'll need to be successful.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in SAP implementations, including at least one end-to-end S/4HANA implementation
  • Proven experience as a Functional Project Manager in a global SAP S/4HANA program
  • PMP and/or SAP Activate Project Manager certification preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, SAFe)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
  • Solid understanding of SAP technologies and global delivery models
  • Experience with Jira or similar project management tools
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities
  • Passion for innovation and continuous improvement

This collaborative, globally distributed team is focused on delivering large-scale transformation initiatives that enable McCain's future-ready digital ecosystem.

Compensation Package : $85,500.00 - $114,000.00 . CAD annual base salary equivalency, paid in alignment to contract term
