Learning & Development Consultant is responsible for all shipboard training processes, training record keeping and the crew welfare program. They foster a culture of continuous learning and teamwork, enhancing crew engagement and job satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage all learning and e-learning programs on board the vessel, including planning, evaluation, and administration.
- Deliver training courses including but not limited to the Viking Guest Service Excellence Program, Viking Onboarding Program and Viking Leadership Program.
- Drive leadership development by providing coaching to the Department Heads, Supervisors and Crew Members to support their career growth and to cultivate talent and prepare for succession planning.
- Maintain and update training records in MXP, ensuring accurate data entry and reporting.
- Support the Crew Purser with the sign-on process during periods of high crew turnover.
- Schedule the monthly training calendar, in coordination with other training, HR and operational needs.

- A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Onboard Trainer, L&D Coordinator or similar position
- Strong presentation, communication and facilitation abilities, with experience delivering training in a multicultural environment, ideally on board a vessel.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide crew members and the Leadership Team.
- Solid administrative skills are preferred, and proficiency in PC-based databases, spreadsheets, and word processing systems (Word, Power Point) is required. Must be flexible, stress-resistant, and a committed team player.
- Ability to work independently when delivering training and collaboratively when developing schedules and identifying needs with ship management.
- Ability to communicate tactfully with guests, department heads and shipboard
- Employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment, including telephones, computers and copy machines.
- Fluent ENGLISH skills - both spoken and written
