About the Team:
The Aladdin Product Engineering COO Team is responsible for overseeing software delivery across the Aladdin platform. The team ensures that engineering practices align with firmwide standards and that technology risks are proactively identified and mitigated. Working closely with senior leaders and subject matter experts, the team plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and resilience of Aladdin’s technology ecosystem.

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated Associate to join the Technology Risk & Controls function within the Aladdin Product Engineering COO Team. In this role, you will help identify, assess, and mitigate technology risks associated with Aladdin software delivery. You will collaborate across engineering, platform, and risk functions to ensure that our technology practices meet the highest standards of security, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct technology risk assessments to identify potential control gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Develop actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and align with firm policies and industry standards.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure ongoing compliance and oversight of the firm’s technology risk framework.
  • Prepare and present reports on identified risks and recommended remediation strategies.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, optimize, and strengthen the firm’s technology control environment.
  • Support the adoption of technology policies and standards across new acquisitions and existing operations.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in technology risk management, IT audit, cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of key IT domains, including SDLC, information security, operating systems, cloud platforms, encryption, and identity & access management.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, including planning, execution, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to drive remediation efforts.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
For Princeton, NJ Only the salary range for this position is USD$127,500.00 - USD$184,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
