As a Climate Risk Senior Associate within Credit Forecasting, you will play a key role in developing methodologies to identify and size climate risk for Consumer and Community Banking. You will demonstrate strong analytic & problem solving skills particularly related to consumer credit risk and economic modeling. The team you will be joining is accountable for identifying, quantifying, and monitoring climate risk and understanding how it manifests to the lines of business within Consumer and Community Banking. Additionally, you will be engaging with Risk Governance, Controls, and other internal partners to maintain and demonstrate compliance with reporting and data policies, procedures, and controls.

Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across lines of business to integrate and align climate risk analytics with existing risk management processes within the firm
- Develop and maintain methodologies for assessing and forecasting climate-related risk
- Analyze and interpret large datasets related to climate risk using Python, R, and other analytical tools
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders
- Stay updated on the latest developments in climate risk analytics and relevant regulatory frameworks
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline (Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, or related fields)
- 3+ years of experience in credit forecasting, economic scenario analysis, or other risk modeling applications
- Strong analytic and problem solving skills, with attention to detail in process documentation and data validation and governance
- Proficiency conducting statistical analysis with large datasets in Python or R
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Experience in climate or environmental science or climate risk management
- Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques, including GIS
- Advanced degree in quantitative/scientific field
