As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities that align with GameOn’s strategic goals (https://www.gameon.studio/), our sister company that specializes in motion capture, cinematics, animation and game audio services. You will play a key role in forging partnerships, negotiating deals, and driving revenue growth across multiple verticals, including animation production, motion capture services, and cinematic content creation. Your ability to build and nurture relationships with creative industry leaders will be essential to our continued success.

 

Job Description

  • Élaborer et exécuter une stratégie globale de développement commercial afin d'étendre la présence de GameOn sur le marché et ses sources de revenus.
  • Identifier et évaluer les opportunités commerciales potentielles dans les domaines de la capture de mouvements, du cinéma, de l'animation, de l'audio de jeu et de la gestion des talents.
  • Établir et entretenir des relations avec les principales parties prenantes, notamment les développeurs de jeux, les éditeurs, les studios de cinéma et les sociétés de divertissement.
  • Mener des négociations et structurer des contrats conformes à la vision à long terme et aux objectifs commerciaux de GameOn.
  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les équipes internes (production, marketing, finances et services juridiques) afin d'assurer une exécution sans faille des partenariats et des accords.
  • Restez informé des tendances du marché, des activités des concurrents et des opportunités commerciales émergentes dans les secteurs de l'animation, de la capture de mouvement et des jeux.
  • Représenter GameOn lors d'événements, de conférences et d'occasions de ‘networking’ dans le secteur.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to expand GameOn’s market presence and revenue streams.
  • Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities in Motion Capture, Cinematics, Animation, Game Audio and Talent Management areas.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including game developers, publishers, film studios, and entertainment companies.
  • Lead negotiations and structure deals that align with GameOn’s long-term vision and business objectives.
  • Work closely with internal teams (Production, Marketing, Finance, and Legal) to ensure seamless execution of partnerships and agreements.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities in the animation, motion capture, and gaming sectors.
  • Represent GameOn at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.

 

Qualifications

  • Baccalauréat en commerce, en marketing ou dans un domaine connexe.
  • 6 ans d'expérience ou plus dans le développement commercial, les ventes ou les partenariats dans l'industrie de l'animation, du jeu ou du divertissement.
  • Expérience professionnelle démontrée dans la conclusion d'affaires dans un secteur créatif.
  • Forte compréhension de l'écosystème de l'animation et des jeux, y compris des processus de production.
  • Excellentes aptitudes en négociation, en communication et en développement des partenariats.
  • Réflexion stratégique avec la capacité d'identifier et de capitaliser sur de nouvelles opportunités commerciales.
  • Capacité à travailler de manière indépendante et en collaboration dans un environnement dynamique et rapide.
  • Passion pour l'animation, la capture de mouvements, la narration cinématographique ou les jeux.
  • Maîtrise de l'anglais et du français.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships within the animation, gaming, or entertainment industry.
  • Proven track record of closing deals in a creative industry.
  • Strong understanding of the animation and gaming ecosystem, including production pipelines.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Passion for animation, motion capture, cinematic storytelling or games.
  • Fluency in English and French languages.
