Traveling will be needed between financial centres (Pointe-Claire and Laval). You need to own a valid driver's license.
The Resource Team Leader (RTL) provides the necessary leadership and development for a team of high performing Financial Centre (FC) Administrators. The RTL’s goal is to enable Advisors, Advisor staff and leaders. This includes identifying learning needs, delivering defined Sun Life requirements, tools, technology, administrative process training. The RTL works in partnership with their District Directors (DD) to ensure alignment of Head Office Professional Development programs. This role is also accountable for the operational effectiveness of Financial Centre locations which can include, premises, technology, administration, advisor office management and client management processes.
Main accountabilities:
Responsible for running the operations of the FC locations
Leads the FC resource administration team
Conduct regular reviews with each team member ensuring goals and objectives reflect the needs of the company, the FC as well as the requirements of the job
Assess advisor learning needs, recommend, coordinate and deliver any required training
Delivers initial and on-going advisor training, prepares training schedules, arranges for presenters
Enable technology adoption, working in partnership with the Distribution Digital Office and Management team
Provides training on various sales support systems - topics of technology, product and procedures, through group training or one-on-one sessions.
Provides just-in-time PC trouble shooting to resolve technology problems
Provides just-in-time information on insurance products/procedures
Delivers training on compliance and market conduct topics as required
Contribute continuous improvement ideas and support initiatives for the financial centre
Facilities management (premises & equipment)
Oversee administrative process, operating within national policies driving efficiency and effectiveness across locations

Strong client relationship skills and a client centric mindset
Presentation and facilitation skills with the demonstrated ability to learn and create an atmosphere to motivate others to learn <
Sound coaching, performance management and influencing skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize and work in a fast paced, demanding and constantly changing environment
Strong influence and communication skills (written and oral)
Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required as the incumbent will be responsible for creating and delivering training to employees and/or English and French-speaking clients across Canada and worldwide.
Ability to work in a matrix environment
Committed to ongoing personal and professional development
Excellent PC Skills (Windows Operating system, Microsoft Office, Salesforce)
Ability to work independently and with all members of the FC Team
University degree with 3-6 years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience – Degree or college diploma preferred
Experience includes coaching, leading and influencing teams, previous experience in the financial services and relationship management

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
