Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋

We're looking for a dynamic and meticulous Research Analyst to join our growing Partnerships team in NoAM Retail. This role is crucial in supporting our Channel Sales Managers by providing the foundational data and insights needed to build and nurture strategic partnerships.

In this role, you'll be instrumental in empowering our Channel Sales Managers to identify, develop, and grow strategic partnerships that drive new merchants to Lightspeed. You'll be the expert in uncovering ideal partner profiles (IPPs), building targeted hit lists, and collecting vital data on what works and what doesn't, ensuring our outreach is always precise and effective.

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify and define our Ideal Partner Profile (IPP) within the retail landscape, aligning with our strategic goals.
  • Develop highly targeted hit lists of prospective partners for our Channel Sales Managers, leveraging various research tools and databases.
  • Gather and analyze data on partnership effectiveness, including lead generation, conversion rates, and overall ROI, to inform future strategies.
  • Track industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts to identify new partnership opportunities and potential challenges.
  • Support the Channel Sales Managers by providing relevant company information, contact details, and insights prior to outreach.
  • Maintain and update a comprehensive database of partner information, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility.
  • Collaborate closely with Channel Sales Managers to understand their research needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Prepare reports and presentations summarizing research findings and key recommendations for senior management.
  • Occasionally, you'll also contribute to special projects and partner call lists, which will involve proactive outbound calling to qualify leads

What you'll need to bring:

  • Proven experience in research analysis, market research, or business intelligence, preferably within a sales or partnerships environment.
  • Strong proficiency in research tools such as Clay, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other relevant data platforms.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collect, interpret, and present complex data clearly and concisely.
  • Strong critical thinking skills to evaluate information, identify patterns, and draw insightful conclusions.
  • Experience in SaaS is a plus, with an understanding of the Retail industry.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting findings and collaborating with team members.
  • As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple research projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, Mac OS, G Suite, Slack, and Microsoft Office.
  • Resourceful with a “will-do” attitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • You bring energy and passion.
  • You thrive in a fast-moving environment and maintain a strong, positive attitude.
