WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:


  • Achieve sales goals for CADDY Commercial, Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire/Seismic businesses as well as GARDNER BENDER in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, and Prince Edward Island by successfully converting new business, primarily from projects and new product sales
  • Actively lead 3rd party sales agents, setting goals with territory strategy
  • Build relationships across all levels of key end-user customers and distributor partners
  • Provide expertise in the use of products and coordinate training of key contractors
  • Deliver and refine presentations and lead discussions highlighting our benefits and value propositions
  • Develop sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve regional sales targets
  • Actively communicate competitive feedback and market dynamics internally to help further improve the solution set and refine the message
  • Use Salesforce as a tool to manage opportunity pipeline and communicate feedback internally
  • While we have this posted in multiple locations, we are only making 1 hire*

YOU HAVE:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent sales experience preferred
  • Ideally 5+ years outside sales and/or territory management in electrical and/or mechanical sales with a focus on commercial sales
  • Experience working with end-user customers on projects
  • Experience leading direct reports, distributors, or 3rd party sales agents
  • Experience with a customer relationship management system, preferably salesforce.com
  • Strong preference for value-based selling skills
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office in the Toronto or Montreal area and travel 50% of the time in the sales region on average. A valid driver's license is required

Pay Transparency
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Total target cash is comprised of an employee’s base salary and sales incentive target opportunity, when annual sales goals are achieved.
Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
If annual sales performance exceeds annual sales goals, the total target cash received may exceed the pay scale maximum reflected below.
Total Target Cash Range:
112,000.00 - 160,000.00+
