We’re hiring a Regional Sales Director, Wholesaler for Montreal’s South Shore. For this role, you must have a solid understanding of the financial services industry and Desjardins’s investment products and services to proactively support investment advisors in your assigned region. You’re responsible for producing new sales while focusing on maintaining assets under management. You develop new relationships and maintain existing ones with independent financial advisors. In partnership with the regional sales advisor, you develop and implement the area’s business plan to reach and exceed sales and activity objectives. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Proactively hold one-on-one sales meetings using a consultative sales approach to identify needs, issues or opportunities to promote the right investment solution.

  • Carry out a business plan for the area that focuses on deepening existing client relationships and engage in prospecting activities to expand the scope of Desjardins’s investment solutions.

  • Consistently achieve and exceed minimum activity and sales objectives.

  • Continually demonstrate efficient management and prioritization of prospects and area coverage.

  • Maintain a solid understanding of Desjardins’s investment solutions, competitors and financial markets.

  • Effectively use the sales tools provided (CRM, Excel to perform, monitor and analyze the effectiveness/impact of targeted sales campaigns, hypothetical illustration tools, financial calculators and Webex presentations).

  • Carry out business development activities such as giving presentations at branch meetings, leading seminars for advisors and investors and attending dealer conferences.

  • Represent Desjardins at industry-related events.

  • Work with the regional sales advisor through effective, ongoing communication and area planning

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field

  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience, including five years in sales

  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered

  • Canadian Investment Funds Course

  • Knowledge of French is required

  • Advanced proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients

  • Advanced knowledge of the financial services industry

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Available for frequent travel on Montreal’s South Shore
