This Position reports to:

Sales Manager
 

The Regional Marketing and Communications Manager for Canada & LATAM is responsible for developing and executing integrated marketing and communications strategies to drive business growth, enhance brand visibility, and strengthen customer engagement across the region for Motion High Power business. This role serves as the strategic partner to the regional sales organization while ensuring alignment with global marketing & communications strategies and divisional objectives.

Core Responsibilities

STRATEGY & EXECUTION:

  • Develop and implement regional and country-level marketing and communication strategies aligned with business priorities and ABB brand guidelines
  • Manage and monitor the functions’ budget, track costs, and oversee suppliers to ensure compliance with SCM policies and required operational and quality standards
  • Lead target audience and persona analysis, and map existing and new communications channels to target-group preferences
  • Track, analyze and report marketing performance, KPIs, and market insights across the region

IMPLEMENTATION AND ACTIVATION:

  • Execute key initiatives, including product launches, campaigns, lead generation activities, events, media, and internal communications, ensuring consistency and impact.
  • Adapt global content and messaging for regional audiences and activate the most effective local channels
  • Promote and activate customer engagement initiatives for the region, to connect targeted existing and potential customers with the division’s portfolio

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION:

  • Develop regional communication platforms, share best practices, and foster collaboration between countries.
  • Advise local and regional leadership teams on brand management, digital presence, PR, and internal communications.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-divisional teams to ensure a unified ABB approach where strategies align.
  • Lead and develop a small team of country marketing and communications managers if applicable

Your profile

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing multicultural, multi-country teams.
  • Hands-on execution ability combined with a strategic mindset.
  • Proven expertise in technical B2B/industrial marketing and communications.
  • Ability to balance operational country-level activities with regional coordination and team management.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, capable of working with both local and global leaders.
  • Experience in brand management, demand generation, digital channels, and media relations.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and partners to achieve cost-efficient agreements while safeguarding quality and service level.
  • Analytical skills to measure performance and optimize activities.
  • Fluent in Spanish is a must. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.  Portuguese would be an asset.
