Cardinal Health’s Global Medical Products and Distribution (“GMPD”) segment, focuses on U.S. and International Products and Distribution businesses.  This segment also includes manufacturing of high-volume, replenishable products such as gloves, gowns, surgical drapes, scrubs and fluid management products. In addition, the Medical Segment includes Cardinal Health’s surgical and procedural kitting operations that assemble all necessary surgical tools and apparel for specific procedures into one kit, allowing clinicians to focus on the patient.

The Region Sales Director, OR (Operating Room) is responsible for leading a team of OR sales specialists who are responsible for expanding the Cardinal Health OR products footprint within new and existing Acute customer base within a defined geography.  Work ethic, collaboration and people leadership are key attributes required for success in this role. This leader will direct a team of roughly seven and closely collaborate with other OR regional sales directors who each lead a team of similar size and aligned goals.  The region includes Northern California, Oregon & Washington.

Responsibilities:

  • Create a high-performance culture through robust performance management and talent development. Foster and support effective teamwork, accountability and innovation.
  • Responsible for driving growth within the region.  Drive sales execution to achieve both territory and customer specific objectives to support existing & new business.
  • Bring consistency and predictability to expectations, reinforce sales discipline, educate and drive accountability within sales team.  Be active in the region through coaching, ride-alongs, and customer visits.
  • Manage & enhance key customer relationships
  • Utilize Cardinal Health’s CRM to maintain accurate records, track business, monitor sales leads and enact retention and expansion strategies. Provide reliable competitive intelligence to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across Cardinal Health to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes within the segment.
  • Demonstrate professional development initiatives: keep abreast of competitive landscape, market insights, and effectively communicate across key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested to ensure sales goals and objectives are met.
  • Support & execute business unit initiatives. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 5+ years successful sales experience preferably in healthcare preferred.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, including ability to manage diverse personalities/skill sets in a changing environment.
  • Proven ability to design win-win strategies for Cardinal Health and the client base
  • Self-starter: able to determine, independently, solutions that ensure business objectives are achieved within acceptable tolerances
  • Demonstrated matrix management skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Executive presence and solid presentation and communication capabilities
  • Ability to travel 50% within the territory; work from home when not traveling
  • Customer/Vendor credentialing may be required (this may include vaccinations). More details will be provided if you are selected.
  • Live within the current open region: CA, OR WA
  • Ability to work remotely from home/field requires a dedicated, quiet, private, distraction free environment with access to high-speed internet. We will provide you with the computer, technology and equipment needed to successfully perform your job. You will be responsible for providing high-speed internet.

Anticipated pay range: $187,800 - $235,000 (includes targeted variable pay)
