The Queen’s Biomedical Innovation Team (QBiT) is an interdisciplinary design team that designs, prototypes, and tests innovative biomedical devices to address healthcare concerns both globally and within our local community.

Position Description: 
The Director of Business will report to the Chief Operating Officer. This role involves identifying and pursuing entrepreneurship, pitch, and business-oriented competitions relevant to QBiT projects. The Director will help produce applications and presentations to showcase the commercial potential of QBiT’s biomedical innovations. 


Responsibilities: 

  • Researching and identifying business or entrepreneurship competitions, such as pitch competitions and startup showcases 
  • Leading the development of applications and presentations for business-focused competitions 
  • Collaborating with project teams to understand commercial applications of their work 
  • Regularly attending operations meetings and providing updates 

Ideal qualities: 

  • Interest in entrepreneurship, business development, or commercialization 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills 
  • Organized and proactive 
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills

Interviews will take place during June 21st, June 26th, June 27th and June 28th .
