QA Automation Engineering Specialist (Hybrid)

We're seeking someone to join our Institutional Lending Technology team as a QA Automation Engineering Specialist in FICFX to lead quality assurance initiatives for our technology platforms. This role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions through both functional and non-functional testing of web applications.

This is a Software Engineering position at Director level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:

• Lead and manage quality engineering efforts for ISG Lending technology platforms.

• Oversee both functional and non-functional testing of web applications.

• Collaborate with global, cross-functional teams to deliver quality solutions.

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve automated tests, frameworks, and processes.

• Mentor other members of quality engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

• Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices.

• Drive automation initiatives and leverage modern testing tools and methodologies.

• Report on quality metrics and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

What you'll bring to the role:
 

• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, with a focus on functional, non-functional and automated testing for both backend and web applications.

• Strong hands-on expertise in test automation frameworks and tools (playwright, cypress or similar).

• Strong expertise in relational or document databases (Sybase, MongoDB, or similar)

• Hands-on experience with AI developer productivity tooling (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Amp, or similar)

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

• Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and knowledge sharing.

• In-depth knowledge of industry-standard QA tools and practices.

• Strong understanding of SDLC and testing best practices.

• Experience working in a global, matrixed organization is preferred.

• Experience in leveraging MCPs for quality automation engineering is preferred.

• Experience in working on lending platforms is preferred.
