As a CDW Purchasing Agent, we'll look to you to perform a variety of critical purchasing functions, such as negotiating prices and buying products that best support our growing business and bottom line. Our Purchasing Agent roles are key to moving our business forward and offer driven, talented individuals advanced opportunities to stand out and work in a supportive, high-energy and empowering environment.
What you'll do:• Review, analyze, qualify or reject purchase orders for all product lines• Establish and maintain key vendor partner relationships• Work with partners and Sales teams to make necessary changes to purchase orders for all product lines and ensure fulfilment in a timely manner• Continually update the status of aging purchase orders and follow-up with partners for information on scheduled shipments• Provide product requirement guidance to our Sales teams • Negotiate pricing for CDW to achieve the best pricing discount to purchase parts and products from distributors and manufacturers to fill customer orders• Oversee and coordinate flow of information from our partners to CDW
What you need to succeed:
Must-have:
• 1+ years of experience with AS400, Microsoft Word, Excel and email applications or equivalent• In-depth knowledge and understanding of purchasing processes• Ability to communicate to effectively and in a constructive manner with customers, coworkers, management and executives• Demonstrated skill in prioritizing multiple responsibilities, tasks and projects simultaneously including ability to shift priorities• Ability to work rotating shifts
Nice-to-have:• Bachelor's degree or College diploma• 1+ years of Purchasing experience • Experience in technical purchasing• IT knowledge

Each of our roles is assigned a salary range that is informed by multiple sources of market data. We determine individual pay within a given range based on a candidate's prior experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. This approach allows us to offer competitive and equitable salaries that reflect the value and responsibilities of each role at CDW. Salaries are based on a 40-hour workweek, and paid on a bi-weekly payroll schedule.

Salary range : $59,000 - $82,200, based on experience
