Job Description

We are presently seeking for a Project Risk and Commercial Management Specialist to join us. Your main goal in this role will be to support internal risk management activities, including pre-award and post-award phases and driving continuous improvement to strengthen CIMA+ risk and commercial culture. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Monitor the database of high-risk proposal and support the proposal teams to follow the steps to identify and manage risks 
  • Develop and produce diverse material including risk and business operation dashboards, data modelling, analysis, and reporting 
  • Create and implement training for CIMA+ employees to build risk awareness and good business practices 
  • Support the management of risk within the project or at portfolio level through management of the risk register database, projects at risk list, etc.  
  • Provide support in the development of project risk management plans in both the proposal and delivery phases 
  • Conduct risk assessment with regular ad hoc and periodic workshops and analysis sessions with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to identify and evaluate project risks and to propose a combination of different risk treatment strategies 
  • Propose key performance indicators and analyze project financial performance, identifying trends and potential risks 
  • Prioritize the risks identified by our legal team contractual reviews and guides our operational teams on how to manage them 

Qualifications

  • Degree in engineering, construction, business administration or any other relevant field  
  • Completed diploma or certificate in Project Risk Management (PMI risk, IRM, or similar) or ability to obtain 
  • Minimum huit (8) years of experience in commercial/contract management, project management, risk management and/or business development within major engineering and construction  projects 
  • Experience in developing and producing reports and dashboards to identify trends in databases in Excel and Power BI 
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Suite Office, specifically with Excel 
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and English 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface with internal senior representatives, clients and external stakeholders 
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to demonstrate complex, quantitative research and analytical thinking 
  • Demonstrated technical writing and ability to manage data and KPIs 
  • Capacity to deal with ambiguity and changes
