Senior
Project Manager specialized in IT and Security:
The Project
Manager is accountable for all aspects of project delivery through to final
closure and ensures approval of deliverables. They contribute to managing
resources to achieve objectives within defined timelines and budgets.
The role
involves organizing, directing, and controlling the human, material, financial,
and technological resources required to deliver one or more medium- to very
large-scale, cross-functional projects. The Project Manager is responsible for
the project plan and acts as the central point of contact for all contributors
involved in project delivery (sponsor, managers, and contributors), leveraging
strong planning and coordination skills.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for developing
the overall project plan, taking into account challenges, complexity,
stakeholders, and alignment with other projects, while ensuring
consistency with the sponsor’s business objectives
- In collaboration with various
workstream leads, ensure delivery of outputs that meet business objectives
and create value, in line with agreed timelines, costs, and commitments
- Provide functional supervision
and coordination of internal and external contributors (integrators or
others) involved in project delivery
- Approve any resource-related
change requests and ensure quality control, governance, and adherence to
project methodologies
- Develop risk analyses, assess
impacts, and define mitigation strategies to manage the project’s risk
level
- Be responsible for overall
reporting and project status updates to the sponsor, steering committee,
and other decision-making bodies
Requirements
Required
Knowledge and Experience:
- More than 6 years of relevant
experience in IT project management and security (both required) in
large-scale environments
- Master’s degree or
graduate-level diploma in project management (an asset)
- Certifications: PMP / MGP / ACP
- Experience in risk management
and/or within a financial institution
- Experience in software
integration and platform transformation projects
- Bilingualism is required, as
some key collaborators and vendors are English-only
