Project Manager

Location – Toronto, ON

Your role within the team:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Oversee project budgets, control expenditures, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Direct all phases of project delivery lifecycle, from design through construction and post-construction handover.
  • Manage the owner’s oversight activities, including coordination with contractors and inspection teams.
  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies also ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, reporting on schedule and budget performance, and supporting commercial processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interface with various internal and external stakeholder groups to align the necessary consultations and approvals while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment across diverse teams.
  • Support proposal management efforts for larger scale projects ensuring proposal requirements are met and are complying with internal standards.
  • Assist with contract lifecycle management by assisting in the creation, renewal, and closure of project agreements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and compliance with organizational standards.

The ideal candidate:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related Science program; master’s or MBA is highly desirable.
  • 8+ years in large or equivalent infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive on-site experience in complex, highly regulated operational environments.
  • PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Professional designation in a relevant field is considered an asset.
  • Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in project management tools and software.
  • Skilled in construction oversight, inspection coordination, and team management.
  • Experienced in client relationship management and strategic reporting.
  • Strong technical knowledge across all project phases: design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with collaborative project environments and progressive contracting models (e.g., Progressive Design Build, Target Price).
  • Effective stakeholder engagement and facilitation of meetings/workshops.
