Purpose of the Role:

Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Project Manager, Operations focuses on business consultation and project management to support operational initiatives to drive the continuous improvement and scalability of our business.  This role requires broad stakeholder engagement and project management experience and the ability to lead projects from concept to completion. 

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead and deliver projects of varying size and complexity using appropriate methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid), ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely execution. 
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in managing both large-scale initiatives and smaller, fast-moving projects, adjusting approach and tools as needed. 
  • Manage and report on project activities, including risks, issues, and decisions. 
  • Drive conversations with Executive Sponsors to clarify priorities, obtain time from subject matter experts (SMEs), and validate recommendations. 
  • Work with Project Sponsors to document and confirm project objectives, benefits, and inter-dependencies. 
  • Facilitate effective communication across teams, ensuring transparency, alignment, and timely resolution of issues or blockers. 
  • Conduct hands-on process and business analysis, including workflow mapping, data analysis, and root cause investigation to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project goals, and translate business needs into actionable plans. 
  • Champion operational excellence, identifying opportunities for efficiency and scalability within existing workflows. 
  • Monitor and report on project performance, using metrics and insights to drive accountability and optimize outcomes, and quantify the benefits of implemented changes. 
  • Support change management by obtaining agreement from leadership and business owners to implement new processes, tools or systems, and tracking the impact of those changes. 
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of project management experience or equivalent, preferably in the financial services industry. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline. 
  • Project Management education and/or certifications are an asset. 
  • Solid understanding of the wealth management industry, financial markets, financial planning, asset management, and/or insurance. 
  • Experience with project management/delivery software. 
  • Highly proficient with word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software. 
  • Exposure to change management and/or process optimization is an asset. 
Compensation & Benefits Package:

This position comes with a base salary range of $80,000 - $100,00 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit-sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
