Job Description

Mission

We are looking for a Project Engineer to join our Transportation team and to design and supervise engineering structures, mainly for the Ministère des Transports (MTQ).

You will be working on major projects, such as the reconstruction and development of interchanges located north of Pierre-Laporte and Quebec bridges, the replacement of the de Quebec bridge deck, the independent certifier mandate for the new bridge on Île-d’Orléans, the widening of Highway 55, the work on Laporte bridge over the next ten years, the extension of Highway 73 in Saint-Georges de Beauce, and rehabilitation of the Félix-Leclerc highway.

We offer a flexible hybrid working arrangement allowing you to work from both our Quebec office and from home.

Responsibilities

• Design engineering structures (bridges) and prepare preliminary studies, plans and specifications
• Plan and design work phasing and traffic management plans and mitigation measures
• Calculate quantities of required material and prepare cost estimates for construction work
• Carry out studies and write technical reports
• Supervise and coordinate work progress
• Participate in coordinating meetings with clients and relevant internal and external stakeholders
• Help coordinate the various departments involved in the projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or an equivalent
• Active member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience in civil engineering
• Knowledge of MTQ norms and standards (an asset)
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and BDP software (an asset)
• Proficiency in spoken and written French
• Valid driver’s licence and access to a car
