As a project control officer, you help plan and monitor projects to meet objectives on time and on budget. You work alongside the project/agile leader and serve as a point person for the team to help them meet their performance objectives. You act as an expert advisor for project management tools, planning and performance monitoring. You monitor the delivery of projects, programs and groups of projects to ensure they are efficient. To this effect, you clarify the scope, plan, prioritize and coordinate tasks to ensure objectives and commitments are met. You anticipate issues and trends, come up with solutions and ensure they are implemented. You analyze and diagnose issues and then recommend solutions for highly innovative strategic projects and programs involving multiple sectors. Your initiatives require extensive, in-depth knowledge of your field of expertise. You are the point person for the implementation of Project Delivery Office processes and requirements. You are responsible for projects and programs with a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity. These require analytical skills, comprehensive, in-depth knowledge of your line of business and the organization and the ability to manage ambiguity. Coordination is critical. You interact with a very large number of stakeholders working in a wide range of fields. Interpersonal savvy and the ability to balance the interests of multiple parties are therefore essential. You lead, influence and serve as an expert to teams, senior management and decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to:
Monitor project scopes, budgets and timelines in order to produce reports
Anticipate, identify and analyze trends and discrepancies and suggest solutions to help the team meet their performance indicators
Assist the team with risk, issue and document management
Ensure project management best practices are followed
Help the team update the timeline by keeping track of milestones and key dates for squads and contributors
Monitor and analyze the plan, make resource capacity recommendations and update the project plan

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of eight years of relevant experience
