As a programming analyst on the Private IaaS Automation team, you help develop, operate and maintain the Aria Automation portal within VMware’s Aria suite. You develop automated scripts to meet users’ needs, including the Windows, Linux, DBMS, storage, backup and VMware operations teams. You draw on your ability to work with technology and anticipate innovation to help develop, standardize and roll out medium- to large-scale IT systems, programs and apps. More specifically, you will be required to:
Carry out ongoing administration tasks to support our IaaS environment
Meet system design needs, and create, roll out and maintain new apps
Design and maintain programs and processes that improve the performance of our IaaS infrastructure
Design and implement monitoring procedures to virtualize and track service capacity
Apply performance optimization functions
Document technical solutions and practices to ensure product sustainability; develop documentation, prepare materials, and deliver training for peers and users
Provide technical support for IT operations
Analyze complex issues, identify root causes, follow up on system problems during critical incidents, and ensure their resolution

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Knowledge of French is required
Intermediate knowledge of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients
Expertise in VMware virtualization and cloud computing (Aria Automation)
Expertise in developing REST APIs and microservices
Expertise in configuration automation and scripting using Python and JavaScript
Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline implementation, GitHub and Artifactory
Knowledge of containerization using Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes
Knowledge of Splunk monitoring tools
Knowledge of object-oriented programming
Knowledge of the agile approach
